Literature

The Department of English at IUN teaches the history and analysis of English and American literature. The Department regularly offers courses in Shakespeare and Chaucer as well as Renaissance, Restoration and 18th Century Romantic, Victorian, and modern British and American literature. Equally important to the curriculum is the study of language and writing. The Department's objectives are to help students write clearly and forcefully and to approach literature in a way that reveals its most compelling values.
